Decormi Jacket sells leather jackets online, and to do that we need a few details from you. This page explains what we collect, why we need it, who else sees it and what you can ask us to do with it. No legal maze, just plain answers.
By using decormijacket.com or placing an order with us, you agree to what is written here.
What We Collect
When you place an order: Your name, billing and shipping address, email, phone number and the confirmation of your payment. If you send us measurements for a custom jacket, we keep those too so we can cut the piece correctly.
When you create an account: Your username, password and the details saved in your profile, so you do not have to type your address again on the next order.
When you contact us: Whatever you choose to include in an email, a WhatsApp message, a live chat or a phone call, along with your order number.
When you browse the site: Pages you open, products you view or add to your cart, the device and browser you are using, your approximate location and how you found us. This comes through cookies and similar tools.
We do not see or store your full card number. Payment details go straight to our payment processor over an encrypted connection, and we only receive a confirmation that the payment cleared.
Why We Use It
- To take your order, make or pick the jacket, pack it and ship it to you
- To send order confirmations, tracking updates and delivery notices
- To handle returns, exchanges, refunds and any support question you raise
- To answer you when you write to us
- To send offers, new arrivals and sale updates, but only if you asked for them
- To spot fraudulent or suspicious orders and protect the store
- To see which pages and products people actually use, so we can fix what is not working
Who We Share it With
We do not sell your personal information. We never rent out our customer list.
Your details reach a few companies only because the order cannot happen without them:
- Payment processors, to take the payment securely
- Couriers such as FedEx, DHL, UPS and USPS, who need your name, address and phone number to deliver the parcel
- The platform that hosts our store and our email service, which run the site and send order emails
- Analytics and advertising tools, which see anonymized browsing data rather than your name and card details
Each of them gets only the information required for their part of the job. We may also share information if the law requires it, or if the business is ever sold or merged, in which case your data would move to the new owner under the same terms.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use them to keep your cart from emptying when you refresh, to remember you when you return, and to see which products people are actually looking at.
You can block or delete cookies from your browser settings at any time. Do keep in mind that the cart and the checkout depend on them, so turning them off may break parts of the site.
Marketing Emails
If you subscribed to our list, every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Click it once and you are off the list. Order confirmations, shipping notices and replies to your questions still come through, because those are part of the order rather than marketing.
Your Rights
Wherever you live, you can write to us and ask to:
- See what information we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong or out of date
- Delete your data, unless we have to keep it for tax or legal reasons
- Get a copy of your data in a readable file
- Stop us from using it for marketing
If you are in the EU or the UK, these rights come from the GDPR. If you are in California, the CCPA gives you similar ones, including the right not to have your data sold. Either way, email us and we will reply within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, so nobody else can request your details.
How Long We Keep It
Order records stay with us for as long as accounting and tax rules require, usually a few years. Account details stay until you ask us to close the account. Marketing contacts are removed as soon as you unsubscribe.
Security
The site runs on SSL, so anything you type at checkout is encrypted on its way to us. Access to customer records is limited to the people who need it to do their work.
That said, no website on the internet is completely safe from attack, and we will not pretend otherwise. Please use a strong password on your account and do not share it.
Children
Our store is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their details, write to us and we will delete the record.
Links To Other Sites
Our pages sometimes link out to social media profiles, payment pages or blogs we do not own. Once you leave decormijacket.com, this policy no longer applies. Read the privacy terms of whichever site you land on.
Changes To This Policy
We update this page whenever our process changes, and the date at the top always shows the last revision. Big changes will be announced on the site. Worth a quick look before you place a new order.
