PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Interstellar was released in 2014, directed by Christopher Nolan. Matthew McConaughey plays Joseph Cooper, a former NASA pilot farming corn on a dying, dust-choked Earth before he leaves his family to search for a new home among the stars. Costume designer Mary Zophres dressed him like the farmer he had become, and his brown work jacket is the piece most viewers remember from the scenes on Earth.
That jacket is part of why the character feels real. It is the kind of hardworking canvas-style jacket that farmers and ranchers across America have worn for generations, and fans have long compared it to Carhartt’s classic work jackets. Ours is inspired by that Carhartt look and made with our own details.
The appeal of a jacket like this is that it gets better with use. The cotton softens, the color fades slightly at the seams and pocket edges, and over time it starts to look like it has its own history, much like Cooper’s did. The shirt-style collar lies flat under a coat or turns up against the wind, and the full zip front makes it quick to throw on. With three outer pockets and two inside, there is room for a phone, wallet, keys and gloves without needing a bag.
The viscose lining keeps the jacket light, so it works best as a fall and spring layer or over a flannel shirt on a cool day. In real winter cold, wear a sweater underneath or layer it under a heavier coat.
Work jackets are cut with room to move, and this one has a relaxed fit through the chest and shoulders. For Cooper’s look, wear it with a plaid or chambray shirt, worn-in jeans and leather work boots. It also looks just as good over a plain tee with sneakers for everyday wear.

Size Guide
Decormi Jacket
Size Guide
Every Decormi jacket is cut to body measurements, not garment measurements. Measure yourself with a soft tape, match the numbers below, and use the measuring notes further down if you are unsure where the tape should sit.

How to measure
Shoulders
Measure straight across your upper back, from the outer edge of one shoulder to the other. Stand tall with your shoulders relaxed — hunching adds up to an inch.
Chest / Bust
Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest, under the arms and level all the way round. Keep it snug, not tight, and breathe normally with your arms at your sides.
Sleeve
Start at the tip of your shoulder and run the tape down the outside of your arm to the wrist bone. Keep the elbow slightly bent so the sleeve does not ride up when you move.
Waist
Measure around the narrowest part of your waist, roughly halfway between your lowest rib and your hip bone. Let the tape rest on the body without pulling it in.
Still between two sizes?
Leather softens and moulds to you with wear, so a jacket that feels close-fitting in the first week settles in. Pick the smaller size for a sharp, fitted look; go one size up if you plan to wear a hoodie or a jumper underneath. Send us your chest, shoulder and sleeve measurements and we will confirm the size before your order ships.
